Telenor Bulgaria awarded top students of Technical University - Sofia

During the graduation ceremony at the university, Bogdan Dinev, Technology Strategy and Engineering Director, invited the students to join company's team.

Bogdan Dinev, Technology Strategy and Engineering Director at Telenor Bulgaria was an official guest of the traditional graduation ceremony at the Technical University – Sofia.

"Telecommunications, which are among the leading sectors in Bulgaria, are at a very high level not only in Europe, but also world wide. And this, I can say twith no doubts, is thanks to engineers like you, to the young professionals developed by Technical University - Sofia" shared Dinev and wished success, courage and curiosity of all about to take their first steps in their professional career. He also invited both current and ex students, to join telecom’s trainee program Hub by Telenor and make these important career steps with Telenor Bulgaria. Dinev himself is a graduate of TU Sofia and is among the first students taken advantage from the trainee program. Thus, in 2006 he started working in the operator as a radio frequency planning engineer.

For the excellent results achieved during the training, two masters (silver medalists Krassimir Vachev and Desislava Nikolova) and two bachelors (gold medalist Stoyan Madzhirov and Radostina Petkova) received personal congratulations and a gift from the telecom.

Greetings to bachelors and masters expressed also Nikola Chakarov, Operations Director at CETIN Bulgaria, which offers world-class telecommunications and infrastructure services on the Bulgarian market. In partnership with Telenor Bulgaria, the two companies not once have been distinguished by the prestigious Best in Test certificate for the quality of the network of the international company for measuring mobile networks umlaut.

The cooperation between the telecom operator and the Technical University - Sofia, dates since 2004.

The leading opportunity that Telenor Bulgaria offers to young people to start their professional realization and gain experience with proven professionals in various business areas is the annual internship program Hub by Telenor. What distinguishes it is that the internship lasts one year and the participants work and grow along their colleagues. So far, about 60 interns have taken part, and many of them have been invited to stay with the teams in which they have worked. The start of this year's edition is to be announced in early August.
