09 April 2020Telenor donates PCs to Family-type Centers for Accommodation for children and youth in Lovech Municipality
Telenor donated 20 PCs to Association “Civic Initiatives – Lovech” that works with children and youth from Family-type Centers for Accommodation on the territory of Lovech Municipality. With these computers the children will be able to successfully continue their education while the measures against the coronavirus require remote schooling.
The computer configurations provided by Telenor include PCs, monitors, keyboards, and mice and are perfectly suited for full participation in the learning process by the children who will use them.
The donation is part of the company’s measures in support of Bulgarian society’s effort to fight the COVID19 epidemic. Last month Telenor made a donation that amounts to some BGN 200,000 for purchasing of critical medical equipment for the new intensive care unit where coronavirus patients will be treated at Sofia’s Pirogov Hospital
Founded in 2013, Association “Civic Initiatives – Lovech” works closely with Lovech Municipality on different socially significant projects and initiatives. The association provides educators, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, rehabilitators and work therapists for the children from “Social Rehabilitation and Integration Center” and “Community Support Center”. During the state of emergency, the association also helps elderly people who live alone by grocery shopping and providing necessary medicines.
