Telenor now offers the car monitoring service Drivey

Telenor now offers the car monitoring and tracking service Drivey. The new service is available for new and current private and business customers of Telenor and includes a combination of an on-board diagnostics device (OBD-II) and a mobile application.

Drivey is offered in two options which include OBD-II devices with 2G or 4G capabilities. Both options are easily installed in the OBD connector that’s available on most of the cars manufactured after 2004.

The device allows customers to get access to data on the technical condition of the vehicle, such as service information about the engine or the battery. With Drivey, customers can easily and securely track the vehicle’s location.

The Drivey by Telenor mobile app can also be used to track and monitor information about the fuel consumption, driving patterns, sudden changes of the speed, sudden stops, and data for all trips in the last month. Drivey allows more than one user to connect to the same device, so the specific car’s data can be available for everyone who uses it. The app is available both at Apple AppStore and Google Play.

The 4G version of Drivey also allows customers to create a WiFi hotspot which can be used by the passengers in the car. Up to 10 devices can connect to this WiFi network. There are 15 000MB of extra data for web surfing on the territory of Bulgaria included in the package, and users can check the remaining traffic and purchase extra mobile data packages through the mobile app.

Drivey is offered with subscription plans for 12 or 24 months. The price for a subscription with a 2G device is BGN 15.99 a month for one year or BGN 9.99 a month for two years. The 4G capable Drivey is offered with a BGN 29.99 a month subscription for one year or BGN 19.99 a month for two years and in both cases, it includes 15000MB extra data for web surfing on the territory of Bulgaria per month. There’s extra 7600MB data for web surfing on the territory of the European Union with one-year subscription and 5300MB with two-year subscription.
