Telenor officially offers eSIM

Telenor starts offering eSIM for all its private and business customers with subscription plans.

The eSIM is a SIM chip which is embedded in the phone which can be use through loading an eSIM profile in the mobile device. This removes the need to put and use a physical SIM card as the eSIM profile stores the necessary information, so the mobile device can use Telenor’s mobile network.

Telenor customers can use eSIM as a main or secondary card in their phones. All new and existing customers who use the operator’s subscription plans can activate a new eSIM card for free or to change their SIM with an eSIM for a one-time payment of BGN 9.99. To change their SIM, customers need to visit a Telenor shop where to request an eSIM and to get their eSIM profile on paper.

The smartphones that support eSIM in Telenor’s network are the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Huawei P40 Pro, iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XS, XS Max and XR.
