Telenor to support Run2Gether for third consecutive year

Telenor team joined the Sofia Run2Gether marathon.

Telenor team has supported the Bulgarian edition of one of the most successful mini-marathons with cause in the world for third consecutive year. It takes place this Saturday, September 19th in the Borissova Garden - Run2Gether.

At the start of Run2Gether, people with disabilities and their supporters with big hearts from politics, business, sports, as well as many other sympathetic citizens of Sofia stood side by side.

With this event, the organizers of JAMBA set two big goals: to promote sports for all and to publicize the need for equal inclusion, equal access and change of attitudes towards people with disabilities. The funds from the donated tickets for participation in the marathon, together with the donations from the responsible business, will help to create an Adapted Youth Career Center for people with different abilities, which will prepare them for the needs of the labor market.

"Run2Gether is a way to prove once again that people with disabilities are an equal part of our society and have the right to equal access and career opportunities. We are glad that Telenor has supported us in another endeavor in the endeavor, as the company is one of our most important partners who have been working for years to include people with disabilities through the Open Mind project", said Joana Koleva from JAMBA.

Open Mind is one of Telenor's most sustainable and long-term initiatives. The program is dedicated to professional development and social integration of people with disabilities, and this year its sixth edition started. For the past five editions over 20 people with different opportunities have participated in the program, all of which have been successfully implemented on the labor market, and five of them have been employed on a permanent employment contract in Telenor Bulgaria. The program leads to excellent results in the inclusion of people with disabilities and is a contribution to a significant segment of the labor market in our country, where both the state and businesses are focusing more and more efforts.
