When everything says “no”, Telenor’s network connected Bulgarian Milena and American Ethan for their awaited “I do”

Telenor’s network provided the most needed connection for the wedding of the Bulgarian Milena and the American Ethan, an event hampered by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the storm that hit the ground on day of the ceremony. The wedding took place in the village of Beli Izvor in Vratsa region and “gathered” guests from all over the world who managed to join it thanks to the “tree of tablets”. The “tree” allowed for the groom’s family be a part of the big event virtually, despite the travel restrictions that made their physical presence impossible.

Over 30 guests virtually took part in the happy event from New York, Atlantic City, Vermont, Florida, Peru, Singapore on 20 screens on the "tree of tablet", which generated over 70 GB of mobile traffic via the Telenor mobile network, which has won the Best in Test award twice. For many of us, 70 GB may not seem like a lot of traffic, but for the young family at the time, it was their whole world. "If 2020 was a wedding, it would have been this one," said the happy Milena about the event. The groom Ethan managed to have his first dance with his mother as a married man through a tablet, which put an indescribable smile on his face and a few tears.

Telenor's network was awarded twice Best in Test certificate in Bulgaria by the leading international company measuring the mobile networks quality umlaut - in November 2019 and in March this year. Best in Test certificates were awarded to Telenor for achieving the highest overall rating of a mobile network among the three operators in Bulgaria. The second certificate is based on an analysis conducted between November 2019 and March 2020 and includes the highest score for the best download speed and best broadband coverage categories in the country.
