Telenor wishes good luck to the Team of Hope for the Homeless World Cup in Glasgow

At an official ceremony yesterday Telenor Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Yassen Guev wished best of luck to the Team of Hope that will represent Bulgaria at the Homeless World Cup to be held in Glasgow from July 10 to 16. The event was hosted by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.

I am extremely happy that for a fifth year in a row I see an ambitious and united Team of Hope that is absolutely true to its name. I am convinced these young people will properly represent Bulgaria in the upcoming Homeless World Cup and sincerely wish them a lot of success both on the field and in life, Mr. Guev said.

In addition to the financial support for the project, Telenor also provided special prizes for the players and one of the coaches, Metodi Asenov. Mr. Guev awarded them with Telenor Smart smartphones during the friendly international homeless football tournament held in Sofia at the end of June.

Telenor supports the Team of Hope project for social integration of disadvantaged young people through football for a fifth consecutive year. The initiative is organized by Sports Management Bulgaria, official partner of the Homeless World Cup foundation for the country. The Team of Hope debuted in the Homeless World Cup in Mexico City in 2012 and last year in Amsterdam it marked its best ranking- 9th among a total of 47 teams.
