20 September 2021Telenor employees to supports 80 disadvantaged children with learning materials
The initiative is held for the fourth consecutive year with joint efforts from both CETIN Bulgaria and Telenor
For the fourth year in a row, Telenor Bulgaria organized the "Ready for the Fall semester" initiative. With that cause the company employees supported 80 disadvantaged children. Telenor joined efforts with CETIN Bulgaria and together the two teams delighted the kids for the start of the new school year.
The campaign enables students, supported by the Concordia Foundation, to start the new school year with materials suitable for their educational needs. Children from vulnerable groups will go to school with full backpacks and appropriate educational equipment. The materials are tailored to the needs of children for the entire school year and are not an action that addresses only the first day of school.
"We sincerely believe that kindness is the first lesson children should learn. That is why we are pleased to support the Concordia Bulgaria Foundation in this endeavour for the fourth year in a row and by doing so to give the children a fresh start for the school year, entering the classrooms confident and happy”, commented Viliana Staneva, Corporate Communications and CSR Expert in Telenor Bulgaria.
The students from the Concordia Foundation are mostly from families living in poor living conditions. Their parents often find it difficult to meet their daily needs, so the Foundation strives to prepare children for school not only by supporting them financially, but also by practicing basic skills needed in the learning process. Concordia's children are awake, curious and for them, school is the only way to make their dreams come true.
