Telenor opens new positions for people with disabilities as part of the Open Mind program

Telenor opens new positions for people with disabilities as part of its Open Mind program. The initiative is held for a second consecutive year and gives people with disabilities the opportunity to gain professional qualification and improve their competitiveness in the labour market by working in the company.

This year candidates for the Open Mind program may choose between the following fields: IT, Telecommunications, Sales Administration, Products and Services, Customer Care, Human Resources, Finance and Sourcing and Legal Services.

Successful candidates will work on a specific project in the respective field for a period of two years and Telenor will provide open and accessible working environment, with equal remuneration package corresponding to the position. They will gain the opportunity to enrich their knowledge, acquire new skills and learn from some of Telenor’s best professionals. After successful completion of the program, Telenor will provide permanent employment or support candidates for securing roles in the market place.

In Telenor Group it is our vision to empower societies we operate in. Open Mind is a program that helps both people with disabilities and the whole society go forward. I am very happy that Bulgaria is the fourth country to implement this initiative. Our experience internationally has been extremely rewarding and I can’t wait to meet the Bulgarian participants this year, Telenor CEO Michael Foley said.

Those wishing to apply for the program should email their CV and cover letter to: openmind@telenor.bg before September 6, 2016. Applicants are required to have secondary or higher education, related to the selected field, good organizational skills, and strong motivation with a willingness to learn. Computer literacy and English language skills are an advantage. Detailed information is available at the company’s website.

Telenor Bulgaria’s program for people with disabilities is held annually as part of the company’s long-term corporate responsibility strategy and under the Telenor Group Open Mind global initiative. Last year the company welcomed the five participants in the first edition of the program who currently work in the Process Management, Legal Affairs, Finance, Technology and Customer Care divisions.
