Telenor presented today the self-care mobile application MyTelenor. The app allows customer to monitor their usage and current bills, purchase add-ons, pay monthly bills, etc.
MyTelenor is available with a free download for iOS and Android-enabled devices and may be used by all residential and corporate subscribers and pre-paid users of the operator.After installation and registration of the mobile number, app users have access to detailed information about their current bill and the status of their active call minutes, data, texts and roaming bundles. They can also purchase easily add-ons for roaming, HBO GO and other services directly from the app.
Users may also pay their monthly bill with the app by entering their bank card number and may review in detail bills for the last six months.MyTelenor has high-level security and offers additional safety by allowing clients to protect their personal info by setting a four-digit password.
The app also offers detailed, location-based information about the Telenor and official partner shops, including their business hours and phone numbers.As of April 10 and until May 10, the new MyTelenor and register their phone numbers with it will be able to activate a one-off bundle 1000 МВ for mobile data traffic, valid for 30 days, at no additional cost. Existing users may also opt for the one-off 1000 MB data bundle by just updating and entering the app.
“MyTelenorhas more than50,000 registered users since the soft launch of the app in December 2016. Some 90% of them a regular users with more than 10 sessions with the app per month“, commented Telenor Consumer and SOHO marketing Director Mrs. Mila Kusheva.
During the event, Mrs. Kusheva also presented some results of the other digital services by Telenor. The Pay with Telenor service which allows direct operator billing for mobile content from Google Play and Fortumo, had 56,000 users who made over 189,000 transactions between May 2015 and end of March 2017. The average purchase price was BGN 4.58 and the application with most purchases was the Need for Speed: Most Wanted racing game, while Clash of Clans and 8 Ball Pool were the apps with the most in-app purchases by Telenor customers.The video and photo storage and sharing service Capture, offered in partnership with Telenor group gained more than 186,000 users in Bulgaria who had uploaded over 100 million files while the phone contacts storage and management service My Contacts now bo<p>asts more than 72,000 customers in the country, who had stored a total of more than 17.3 million contact entries.
“The success of the Telenor digital services and the positive financial results of the company are due mainly to the fact that we managed to win customers’ trust. We did that thanks to our high-quality advanced network and to our attractive commercial offers”, commented Telenor Chief Executive Officer Mr. Michael Foley.Telenor registered 134% year-on-year increase in the total data usage in 2016. As of the end of March 2017, 4G data traffic holds the largest share of the total data usage and the 4G network of the company covers a little over 81% of Bulgaria’s population .
“Today, our focus in the further development of our 4G network will be improving the user experience, the quality of coverage, network capacity and further expansion of the territorial coverage”, Mr. Foley added.
