Telenor registers over 93,000 users of the Capture cloud service in Bulgaria

Telenor registers over 93,000 users of the Capture cloud service for storing and sharing photos and video, only four months after its official launch in Bulgaria. Its customers are expected to reach 100,000 by end-October.

Until now, Bulgarian Capture users have uploaded about 30 million files or a total of 78 TB of content to the cloud. Analysis also reveals that more than 50% of the Telenor subscribers registered in Capture use the service via the company’s 4G network.

Recently, the company also launched the My Contacts free mobile app on the Bulgarian market and it already has more than 18,000 local users. It offers secure back-up of phone contacts in the cloud as well as hassle-free transfer of contact data from one device to another regardless of whether it runs Android or iOS operating system. Both Capture and My Contacts are developed by Telenor Group and now have more than one million customers worldwide.

Another popular digital service by Telenor Bulgaria, Pay with Telenor, has registered over 15,000 users. It allows fast, easy and secure payment of app and mobile content purchases in Google Play and Windows Phone Store without using a bank card, by adding them directly to the Telenor user’s monthly bill or available credit. So far, customers have paid more than BGN 166,000 using the direct operator billing service.

The online service HBO GO also marks success since its launch by Telenor in February. The service gives unlimited access to more than 3,000 hours of blockbuster movies, TV serials and shows, anytime anywhere. According to Telenor data, the majority of HBO GO subscribers enjoy the service via the company’s mobile network.

In July Telenor launched a free Viber sticker pack called ‘Summer in Bulgaria’ which has been downloaded more than 80,000 times so far and the specially designed stickers have been used in about 256,000 messages.
