Spas Velinov has been the Chief Technology Officer of Yettel Bulgaria since June 2020. He leads the company's teams, which are responsible for the company's technological and innovation development.
Spas is a telecom professional with 25 years of industry experience. Most of his career has been with Yettel and has included several senior management roles within technology planning, technology engineering, and most recently, leading the sourcing & logistics division. Mr. Velinov was also at the forefront of some of the most complex transformation projects in the company’s history including the network modernization in 2014 and the establishment of Yettel Common Operation in Bulgaria in 2016.
Spas Velinov is a graduate of the Technical University of Sofia, holds a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, and an MBA in General Management from the University of Sheffield. Mr. Velinov is the first CTO to have been appointed from within the ranks of the organization.
