Sasa Filipovic appointed interim CEO of Telenor Bulgaria

Mr. Sasa Filipovic was appointed interim Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Bulgaria, effective May 20, and will replace Mr. Michael Foley who was appointed CEO of Grameenphone Bangladesh, part of Telenor Group.

Mr. Filipovic will be interim CEO of Telenor Bulgaria until the recruitment process to fill the vacant position in Telenor Bulgaria is completed. He will also continue performing his duties as Chief Commercial Officer of the company.

Mr. Filipovic joined Telenor Bulgaria in August 2013 and has more than 20 years of experience in mobile communications. He was also Telenor Serbia Chief Strategy Director and marketing director.

Mr. Foley was CEO of Telenor Bulgaria since August 2016, and prior to that was CEO of Telenor Pakistan. Grameenphone is the largest mobile telecommunications operator in Bangladesh in terms of revenue, coverage and subscriber base, with 59 million connections (as of Q1 2017).
