Telenor added nine new videos to its safer internet series

Telenor added nine new videos to its series on online safety, available at www.ottebzavisi.net.

The videos, produced by Telenor, are part of the operator’s initiatives aimed at providing safer internet for children. The educational clips are about the dangers online and provide information and tools to overcome them. The videos are specifically created for children, parents and teachers and are available for free.

The content of the new clips is about online bullying, how to teach children to communicate online, what is radicalization and why it is dangerous, online bullying in video games, etc. Real situations which each user can find themselves in and how to react adequately to them are illustrated in accessible language and in an interactive way.

Earlier this month, Telenor organized the game “Digital Scouts: On a Hunt for Adventure and Knowledge” which was joined by over 17,000 young people from across the country. With this the operator demonstrated that the online safety topic is interesting for children of all ages.

The company invests in initiatives related to safer internet since 2006. Among them are a Social Networks Glossary for Parents, Online Bullying Handbook, and various campaigns, games, and others. Telenor was the first telecom company in Bulgaria to launch a filter that blocks web domains containing child sexual abuse materials.
