Telenor Bulgaria CEO Jason King receives 2020 Business Leadership in Times of Crisis Award

Telenor Bulgaria’s CEO Jason King has been awarded 2020 Business Leadership in Times of Crisis award at the 30th anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Economy Awards ceremony. Jason King was recognized for his leadership that made Telenor exemplar of how to outperform during a crisis while creating opportunities for his team to push the business to new heights.

Jason King was awarded for his leadership in strategy execution ensuring that the company remained resilient and continued to provide reliable and high-quality network and services, mitigating the worst effects of the crisis and for the holistic approach to the company’s ecosystem of stakeholders and the wider community. He led a campaign to support partners, businesses and customers throughout the country handle the crisis by sharing business continuity best practices and made Telenor the first and only company to share its business contingency plan in the country.

Not stopping there, Telenor has been one of the largest private donors in the country, donating over US$400,000 worth of for medical equipment, PPE as well as providing smartphones to frontline health workers so they can carry out their duties more safely. Telenor has also donated computers to schools and centers for at children at risk ensuring they can study remotely.
