16 June 2016Telenor Bulgaria to focus on digital services
Digital services will play major part in the Telenor Group and Telenor Bulgaria strategy for the future and we will focus more and more on developing and offering such services, mobile apps and solutions, said Telenor chief executive officer Stein-Erik Vellan during the Telenor #DigitalDay media event, held today.
This decision was based on the ongoing increase in data usage, smartphone penetration and mobile data users number and especially on the latest trends in customer preferences and usage habits, Mr. Vellan commented.
We will put dedicated efforts and resources into digital services in order to provide our customers more options for communication, content sharing and entertainment. For Telenor, this is a logical step in transforming the company into our customers' preferred digital partner. It will also provide us with a solid base for growth, Mr. Vellan said.
In the last three years, we put the stepping stones for this transformation in Telenor Bulgaria with the full technological upgrade and renovation of our network and the launch of 4G services. Today, thanks to our co-operation with the other Telenor Group companies and with third-party partners we can offer such services to our customers, he added.
During Telenor #DigitalDay, the company's Consumer Services Department Manager Brano Djurovic presented the latest digital services offered by the company and offered some insights on the success of these services among the end-customers.
