Telenor to offer direct operator billing for Google Play purchases

Telenor will be the first mobile operator in Bulgaria to offer direct operator billing (DOB) for purchases of digital content from the Google Play store.

The Pay with Telenor service will be automatically activated to all residential customers with Android-powered devices by June 7.

With the new service, the price for purchasing apps, games, music and other mobile content will be automatically added to the monthly bill of the subscribers. Prepaid users will have the amount of the purchases deducted from their balance. The transaction limit for all users is set to BGN 20 per month and subscribers will not be charged any additional fees for using the service.

With Pay with Telenor, customers do not have to register credit or debit cards in order to purchase mobile content. The service is safe and easy to use after registration. The initial setup of the service requires a Telenor network connection while purchases may be completed via mobile or Wi-Fi connection.
