Telenor to offer HBO GO video streaming service to its mobile subscribers

Telenor will be the first mobile operator in Bulgaria to offer the HBO GO video streaming to all of its residential postpaid subscribers as of February 15. Customers need only a mobile contract with Telenor in order to use the service and HBO bundle in their cable or satellite TV subscription is not required.

HBO GO is an online video streaming service which allows users to watch films, TV series and shows, documentaries, concerts and special live events via mobile phone, tablet, smart TV set or a personal computer. HBO GO offers more than 2,000 hours of video content, available in the original audio or with Bulgarian-language dubbing or subtitles, if available, and also has parental control functionalities. HBO GO users also have access to the live streaming feed of the HBO TV channel.

Access to the service is possible via Telenor 4G and 3G networks or via Wi-Fi internet connection and the adaptive streaming technology used with this service allows for seamless, interruption-free quality. The service is compatible with all iOS- and Android-powered devices, LG and Samsung smart TV sets as well as Apple TV and Chromecast.

Telenor will offer the service with its HBO GO add-on, automatically renewable every month unless cancelled. The add-on will be tagged at BGN 7.99 per month.
