28 April 2017Telenor received first prize for its Safer Internet campaign at the BAPRA Bright Awards 2017
Telenor won first place at the BAPRA Bright Awards 2017. The company won in the Cause-related Marketing Campaign category for its initiatives related to providing safer internet for adolescents.
“I am honoured to accept this award. I want to express my sincere gratitude to our partners from the Bulgarian Safer Internet Center with whom we have been collaborating for eleven years and to our digital agency Next-DC. The campaign is a long-term commitment of Telenor aimed at not only providing safe internet environment for adolescents, but also at giving them the knowledge they need in order to communicate safely on the Internet," said Desislava Danova, Corporate Responsibility Expert at Telenor.
In the period of February 2016 – February 2017, for which Telenor was awarded, the company held a number of initiatives among which the Finding Emo online quest, Online Bullying Handbook, and the Be Smart, Use Heart and the Cyber Scout educational programs. Through those initiatives, all of them conducted in partnership with the Bulgarian Safer Internet Center, Telenor has reached and trained tens of thousands of Bulgarian students on the risks of sharing personal information on the Internet and how to safely browse and communicate online.
