Telenor representatives wished best of luck to the Team of Hope and awarded the players with 4G smartphones. As of today until September 5, the team will represent Bulgaria at the Homeless World Cup in Oslo.
“It is an honour to us to be connected to this remarkable project, which proves that everything is possible whenever there is good will, consistently and long-term commitment. Undoubtedly, these young people will represent Bulgaria properly. They have already achieved a lot, despite the difficulties, and they are winners already. On behalf of all employees in the company I wish them best of luck both in the forthcoming championship and in the challenges outside of football,” said Irina Vasilevska, Telenor Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. She received a special gift from the team - a soccer ball with autographs from the players.
Telenor supports the Team of Hope for a sixth consecutive year. The project for social integration of disadvantaged young people through football is organized by Sports Management Bulgaria, official partner of the Homeless World Cup foundation for the country.
The team will participate in the world tournament for the sixth time with its best ranking being in 2015 in Amsterdam where it ranked 9th among a total of 47 teams. A year later, the Team of Hope ranked 17th in Glasgow and won the Bowl trophy.
